Succulent Hanging Box

Succulent Hanging Boxes

This is a really creative way to make a hanging or table top succulent box.
The wooden boxes were purchased at Michael's crafts.
We then cut a large heart shaped hole in the top of the hinged box.  Any shape can be cut out ie: heart, circle, square, star or even multiple holes to make a pattern.
Purchase some wire mesh from your local hardware store make it large enough to cover the entire inside of the hole(s).  Secure with staple gun on inside of box or just press into box top.
Stuff enough Spagnum moss into to moss so it is really stuffed tight in the box.  Close and latch the lid.
Then using clear tacky glue, glue succulent plants thru mesh screen of cut-out.  The more you stuff in, the better it will look.
Set the filled box flat for about a week, to allow for glue to dry and plants to start rooting themself to the moss.
Once you feel comfortable that the plants will stay put, hang or sit box upright.
Spritz the succulent once a week.  These plans do not require much water.  Filtered sun is usually best, but succulents will usually tolerate all conditions except over watering.

Have fun!
